Implementing strategic organisational change

Problem:

Our client’s senior managers were uncertain about what they should do to prepare their organisation for the future. They are part of an industry that is changing rapidly because of social and economic changes and possible changes to legislation. They needed help to rigorously analyse their current position and implement changes so they could adapt to the new industry environment.

Insight:

We helped senior managers and other key staff to analyse possible industry scenarios and work through what implications each scenario would have for their business. We then used our Roadmap and Itinerary planning method to help them agree on where they were, and where they wanted to get to. Having established their position and destination, they were then able to design a detailed strategy for getting ‘from A to B’.

Lastly, we used our planning tools to help them define projects and develop action plans from their strategy and we mentored project team leaders as they executed the plans through their teams.

Outcomes:

Senior managers finished with a clear picture of their direction and goals, and a well reasoned strategy. Even more important, they were confident that the strategy would be implemented. Because they had put so much effort into action planning, every team member knew what they had to do to achieve the goal.
